Dolores M. Yanchick, 86, a lifelong resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life on Sunday morning, May 14, 2017, at ManorCare Health and Rehabilitation Center, Kingston, where she was recently a guest.
Her loving husband is Robert G. Yanchick. Together, Robert and Dolores celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on October 28, 2016.
Born on July 07, 1930, in Swoyersville, Dolores was one of two children born to the late Joseph and Julia (Wargo) Howatch.
Dolores was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1948.
A homemaker all of her life, Dolores lovingly tended to the daily needs of her home and family. She took great pride in her family and she always enjoyed cooking and baking for them.
Family was the center of Dolores’ life and she cherished every moment she shared with her loved ones, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
Dolores was a faithful Catholic and a lifelong member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, where she held membership with the church’s Altar and Rosary Society and Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to her parents, Joseph and Julia Howatch, Dolores was preceded in death by her only brother, Edward Howatch.
In addition to her husband, Robert, Dolores is survived by her children, Gerard Yanchick and his wife, Denise, Swoyersville; Maria Koval and her husband, Tom, Swoyersville; Lorraine Stuccio and her husband, Joseph, Swoyersville; and Larry Yanchick, Swoyersville; her grandchildren, Anthony, Gregory and Jude Koval; Raphael and Victoria Stuccio; and Alexandra Yanchick; and her great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Gino and Giuliana Stuccio.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, at the funeral home.
The Confraternity of Christian Mothers of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish will recite the Rosary on Wednesday morning at 9:15 AM in the church.
