Dolores Marie Cyprich DeBalko, 85, formerly of Washington Avenue, West Wyoming, who resided in Shickshinny with her daughter, Valerie, for the past 6 years, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, October 11, 2022, at Guardian Elder Care, Nanticoke, following a brief illness.
Her first husband of 28 years was the late John Cyprich, who passed away on January 22, 1984. Her second husband of 26 years was the late John E. DeBalko, who passed away on September 27, 2015.
Born on October 21, 1936, in Port Blanchard, Dolores was one of two daughters born to the late Stephen Repka and Mary (Tomko) Repka.
A homemaker most of her life, Dolores was also employed as a trimmer in the local garment industry.
Dolores was a faithful Catholic and a longtime member of the former Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, once holding membership with its Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
Dolores had a great love for traveling and was blessed to be able to visit many places throughout the world. Above all, her greatest love in life was for her family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – they each brought her so much happiness. Although her presence will be deeply missed, there is much joy in knowing she is now at peace, reunited in heaven with all her loved ones who have gone before her.
Dolores is survived by her three children, John Cyprich and his wife, Christine, Huntington Mills; Thomas Cyprich and his wife, Elizabeth, Wyoming; and Valerie Parsons and her husband, William, Shickshinny; her step-daughter, JoAnne DeBalko Yuhas and her husband, Steven, Wilkes-Barre; her eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Sincavage, Pittston; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Dolores’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Father Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
A private family Interment with the Rite of Committal will immediately follow in Saint Stephen’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lehman Township, where she will be laid to rest beside her first husband, John Cyprich.
In keeping with Dolores’ wishes, the viewing will be private for her immediate family members.
