Dolores “Dolly” Glazenski, 83, a resident of Plains Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, October 03, 2015, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Her beloved husband was the late Edward Glazenski, who passed away on February 15, 2007. Together, Edward and Dolly shared 53 wonderful years of marriage.
Born on May 02, 1932, in Wilkes-Barre, Dolly was the daughter of the late John and Pauline (Kasinic) Berezich.
Raised in the Brookside section of Wilkes-Barre, Dolly attended James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre.
Dolly was a talented and accomplished seamstress and dress maker. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a sample dress maker for Leslie Fay, formerly of Wilkes-Barre. In her earlier years, she was employed as a seamstress and dress maker for the former Larry Newman Garment Industry, Wilkes-Barre.
Following her retirement, Dolly worked independently from her home as a seamstress and dress maker. She held membership with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Dolly possessed a strong faith and hope in her Lord, and this was evident by her daily reading of the Bible.
A woman of many enjoyments, Dolly especially enjoyed flower gardening, crafting Fabergé eggs, collecting dolls, and cooking and baking for her family and friends. Above all, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Dolly always lived by the golden rule: treat others the way you would like to be treated; make someone smile, send a card, give a hug, and say I love you to those who are special to you. To honor Dolly, do these things in her memory.
In addition to her parents, John and Pauline Berezich, and her husband, Edward, Dolly was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Nick, Joseph and Charles Berezich; her sisters, Sophie Berezich, Mary Reinhold, Ann Guggenheim, and Pauline Bellegris.
Dolly is survived by her daughter, Dolores “Dee” Howe and Walter Shatrowskas, Plains Township; her grandchildren, Heather Dolly Foersch, Plains Township, and Justin R. Howe, Shavertown; her great-grandchildren, Daniel, Alexandria Rae, and Grayson; her sister, Margaret Carey, Wilkes-Barre; her beloved dog, Cuddles; and her many nieces and nephews.
The Family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Javid Amini M.D. and Dr. Jeff Smarse M.D., for their compassionate care during Dolly’s time of need.
In keeping with Dolly’s wishes, the viewing and funeral service will be private for her immediate family. The Reverend James Quinn, pastor of Bennett Presbyterian Church, will officiate the funeral service.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Husdon.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
