Diane Wanyo, 61, a resident of Forty Fort, passed away on Saturday morning, June 21, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Her loving husband is Edward M. Wanyo. Together, Ed and Diane celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on April 12th.
Born on June 08, 1953, in Wilkes-Barre, Diane was the daughter of the late James P. Shedlarski Sr. and Lucy (Kultys) Shedlarski.
Raised in Forty Fort, Diane was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1971.
Diane was employed as a secretary for C.W. Schultz and Son, Wilkes-Barre. In her earlier years, she was employed by Connolly’s Self Storage, Edwardsville.
A woman of faith, Diane was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.
Diane absolutely loved to vacation with her family and friends, especially to various beaches. She also loved getting together with her friends every Thursday for “Girls Night”.
Family was the most important part of Diane’s life. She truly treasured every moment she had with her husband, children and grandchildren. Her beautiful presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit of love will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
In addition to her husband, Edward, Diane is survived by her children, Eric Wanyo and his wife Heather, Mountaintop; and Lindsey Maiolatesi and her husband Tino, Greenfield Township; her grandchildren, Carter and McKenzie Wanyo; and Morgan Maiolatesi; her sister, Joan Lewis, Orillia, Ontario Canada; her brothers, Frank Shedlarski and his wife Marian, Dallas; and James Shedlarski Jr. and his wife Dawn, Forty Fort; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Diane’s visitation which will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 11:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Jeffrey D. Tudgay, Family Friend, officiating.
Those who will be attending the Memorial Mass are kindly asked to assemble directly at the church as there will be no procession from the funeral home.
