Della F. Schulz, 71, a resident of Bear Creek Township, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, February 01, 2014, at her residence.
Born on April 07, 1942, in Bear Creek, Della was the daughter of the late Kurt H. Schulz and Dorothy O. (Fisher) Schulz.
Della was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre. Following high school, she went on to further her education at Wilkes University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Commerce.
Prior to her retirement, Della was employed for many years as a credit manager for Eastern Penn Supply Company (EPSCO), Wilkes-Barre.
A woman of great faith, Della was a longtime member of the former Messiah Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Della enjoyed many things in life, especially attending performances at the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre and making her annual trip to Cape May, New Jersey. She was also an avid hockey fan and a season ticket holder with the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.
Della leaves behind a legacy of being a loving, charitable and loyal woman. Her beautiful presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of many.
Della is survived by her brother, Kurt F. Schulz and his wife Gretchen, of Georgia; her two nieces; and a host of dear friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be celebrated on Friday, February 07, 2014, at 11:00 AM at Moving River Ministries, the site of the former Messiah Lutheran Church, 453 South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Reverend Mary Laufer, officiating.
Those who are attending the funeral are kindly asked to assemble directly at the church as there will be no procession from the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 06, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
