David Kavinski, 66, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, November 02, 2023, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born on April 11, 1957, in Passaic, New Jersey, David was one of eight children born to the late Thomas Kavinski and Helen Trabish Kavinski.
David worked in the construction industry most of his life, and was a social member of the American Legion, Andrew Lawrence Post 644, Swoyersville.
A man of many enjoyments, David especially loved fishing and watching his favorite baseball team, the New York Yankees.
Family was the center of David’s life, and he treasured every moment he shared with his loved ones. The love he had for his family will be his greatest legacy, as he loved each and every one of his family members with all his heart.
In addition to his parents, Thomas and Helen, David was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald T. Kavinski, Thomas “Tim” Kavinski, Robert Kavinski, and Ronald Kavinski.
Left to cherish David’s memory are his sisters, Dorothy Kavinski, Swoyersville; Diane Lugo and her husband, John, Swoyersville; and Patricia Kavinski and her companion, Trit, Garfield, New Jersey; his cherished nephews and nieces, Carl, with whom he resided; Matthew; Amanda; Lisa; Jenn and husband, Shawn; Cheryl; David; Brian and wife, Peggy; and Joey and wife, Lillianah; as well as his great-nieces, great-nephews, and beloved cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation for David which will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort. A blessing service will commence at 6:00 PM with the Reverend Father John J. Chmil, Pastor of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville, officiating.
Interment will be private in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
