Darrell “Big D” Favata, born February 19, 1980, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 45.

Darrell lived for one person, his daughter, Mila, who was his heart and soul, his whole world, and his everything. An avid weight lifter, you would find him at the gym with his friends, Team Silverback, seeing just how much he could bench press. Incredibly loyal, determined, and driven, he would do anything for his family and friends.

As the owner of Favata Landscaping, Darrell worked hard building a business he could be proud of.

Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Paul Favata; his grandparents, Joseph and Helen Favata, and Charles and Thelma Drake.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Mila Favata; wife, Karen Walsh Favata; mother, Marjorie Favata Bates; brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Kim Tyler; sister and brother-in-law, Tamara and Cory Rogers; nephews, David, Evrett, and Oliver; niece, Ava; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who were more like family.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with a memorial blessing service will commence at 2:30 PM.

There are far too few people in this world who embody the kind of friend D was. Loyal, selfless, and fiercely protective. He would’ve done anything for the people he loved. I feel incredibly blessed to carry the memories of our years of friendship. Above all, D’s greatest pride and purpose was being a father to Mila. He lived for her, and it showed in every word, every decision, every moment. Our hearts are heavy with grief, and our prayers will remain with Mila as she grows and finds her way in life without her hero by her side. In his honor, we will look out for her, support her, and do everything we can to make sure she always knows just how deeply she was loved.

Darrell was the type of guy who lit up the room and put a smile on everyone’s face. My first and most fond memories of him include when he would bring Mila with him to lift in her baby carrier. His love for her was evident in all that he did! He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. God Bless him and keep him! May his beautiful daughter always know that her father was a great man!
