Daniel Raymond Zukosky passed away in his sleep on Friday, July 11, 2025, after 78 years of raising hell and partying to the fullest.
Born on September 30, 1946, in Swoyersville, Dan fought in Vietnam against the communists after graduating high school. He then went on to spend decades working as a driver for both Swoyersville and Forty Fort boroughs. A true man about town, he also spent decades as a volunteer firefighter for the Swoyersville Hose Companies 1 and 2.
Dan loved camping, fishing, hunting, and the “Zen” aspect of cutting grass. He was best known for the parties he hosted at his rural estate which attracted the rich and famous from all over the United States. Dan had the ability to hold his own, and offer thoughtful insights on, but not limited to, esoteric conversations concerning art, literature, and science. However, he was best known for his philosophical question, “why does this beer taste like piss?”
A private memorial for Dan will be held at his camp site in Tunkhannock at a future date.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
