Clara Ann “Cookie” Sincavage, 87, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life on Saturday evening, September 10, 2022. She was fortunate to be surrounded by her entire family at the home of her daughter, Marybeth Czyzycki, in Swoyersville.
Her loving husband is William F. “Bart” Sincavage. Bart and Cookie were blessed to celebrate their 54th wedding anniversary on May 25th.
Born on March 24, 1935, in Swoyersville, Clara was one of three children born to the late Carl G. Kamionka and Clara M. Wiliszewski Kamionka.
Raised in Wapwallopen, Clara was a graduate of Berwick High School.
A homemaker most of her life, Clara dedicated her life to tending to the daily needs of her husband and children. In her earlier years, she was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry.
Clara was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, Swoyersville. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Swoyersville.
Clara’s life revolved around her family! She always enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, and the love she had for her husband, children, and grandchildren was immeasurable. Her grandchildren were truly her pride and joy, and she was so very proud of each of their accomplishments. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Carl and Clara Kamionka, Clara was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jennifer Sincavage; her sister, Rose Marie Lee Kreider; and her brother, Carl G. Kamionka Jr.
In addition to her husband, Bart, Clara is survived by her four children, Michael Sincavage, Swoyersville; Kenneth Sincavage and his wife, Maureen, Hatboro; Joann Sincavage and her partner, Lorie Mikielski, Hanover Township; and Marybeth Czyzycki and her husband, Thomas, Swoyersville; her three grandchildren, Penelope Sincavage, Logan Czyzycki, and Raegan Czyzycki; as well as her numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Elizabeth Gernhardt, D.O., as well as the nurses and pastoral staff from Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the wonderful care they bestowed upon Clara this past week.
