Christine Kelly Ostrowski, 73, formerly of Swoyersville, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Holy Family Manor, Bethlehem.She was the beloved wife of Peter Paul Ostrowski with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage last year.Born on May 19, 1941, Christine was the daughter of the late Angela (Moresco) Kelly and Patrick Kelly.She attended St. Ann’s Academy, Wilkes-Barre, and graduated from Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre in 1959. She completed her nurse training at Nesbitt Hospital, Kingston.After her training, Christine embarked on a long and successful career as a labor and delivery nurse and head nurse of labor and delivery at Nesbitt Hospital. In addition, she was a nurse at the office of Dr. Michael Tedesco. During her 42-year career she assisted in the delivery of thousands of babies and administered care to women in labor during the Agnes Flood in 1972. Christine also offered care and guidance to families facing infertility and those who experienced loss of life through miscarriage or stillborn.Christine is survived by her husband and her children, Nancy Adams and her husband, Ted, Orefield; Alex Ostrowski and his wife, Tara Connolly, Easton; Angela Griglock and her husband, Tom, Tualatin, Oregon; grandchildren, Alexis Adams, Brigid Ostrowski and Finn Ostrowski; her brother Patrick Kelly, Muncy; and numerous nieces and nephews.A Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J.
