Charles A. Rutt, 73, a resident of the Buttonwood section of Hanover Township, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, May 03, 2017, at his home.
Born on February 10, 1944, in Wilkes-Barre, Charles was one of three sons born to the late Dr. Charles J. Rutt and Margaret A. (Jones) Rutt.
Raised in Wilkes-Barre, Charles was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1961. Following high school, he went on to attend King’s College, Wilkes-Barre.
A United States Army veteran, Charles honorably served his country in Panama during the Vietnam War.
Charles enjoyed many things in life, most especially listening to Jazz, attending gatherings with his high school friends, gardening, and cooking for his family and friends. He also had a great love and devotion for his late dogs, Bazal and Albert.
Charles is survived by his three children, Charles J. Rutt and his wife, Melissa Zambetti, Jenkins Township; Dr. Amy Rutt, D.O., F.A.C.S., and her fiancé, Brian A. Monczka, Jacksonville, Florida; and Stacey V. Molino and her husband, Attorney Gene Molino, Exeter; the mother of his children, Natalie M. (Gabrysh) Rutt, Swoyersville; his step-grandchildren, Michael and Marina Sell; his brothers, Dr. Thomas J. Rutt, D.D.S., Mountaintop; and Robert R. Rutt, Florida; as well as his nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Charles’ viewing which will be held on Sunday, May 07, 2017, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
A private family funeral will be held on Monday. A Blessing Service will be celebrated by the Reverend James J. Alco.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Lithuanian Catholic Cemetery, Bear Creek.
