Carmella M. “Carm” (Bucci) Uter, 67, a resident of Forty Fort, passed into eternal life, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday morning, January 26, 2017, at her home.
Her loving husband is John A. Uter. Together, John and Carm celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on August 5th.
Born on June 10, 1949, in Pittston, Carmella was one of four children born to the late Anthony and Margaret (Giambra) Bucci.
Raised in Pittston, Carm was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1967. She went on to receive her cosmetology license from the former Jerrytone School of Beauty Culture, Pittston.
Prior to her retirement, Carm was employed as a teacher’s aide for the Wyoming Valley Montessori School, Kingston.
A devout Catholic, Carm was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville, where she was a daily communicant.
Carm had many enjoyments in life, most especially cooking and baking for her family, and going to yard sales with her husband.
In the eyes of her loved ones, Carm was by far the world’s greatest wife, mother, and nana. Her grandchildren were truly the light of her life and she treasured every moment she spent with them. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
In addition to her husband, John, Carm is survived by her children, Christopher Uter and his wife, Amy, Kingston; Rebecca Rybak and her husband, Jason, Nanticoke; and Jennifer Pokrinchak and her husband, Marcus, Swoyersville; her five grandchildren, Alexa Rae Vargo, Conner John Uter, Colin Brian Uter, Molly Pokrinchak, and Nathan Rybak; her brothers, Robert Bucci, Laflin; Vincent Bucci, Pittston; and Michael Bucci, West Wyoming; as well as her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Sunday, January 29, 2017, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, at the funeral home.
