Bonnie Wallace, 83, a resident of Wyoming, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon, February 02, 2022, at her home.
Born on January 10, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, Bonnie was one of four children born to the late Chester and Teresa Kucharski Ostrowski. She had resided in the Wyoming Valley all her life.
Bonnie received her education at the Wyoming Seminary Dean School of Business, Kingston; Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus; and King’s College, Wilkes-Barre.
Throughout her career, Bonnie was employed as an information systems director; a systems analyst; and a programmer for several companies in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Since retiring, Bonnie had a passion for genealogy, preserving family history, and local history.
Bonnie was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville.
In addition to her parents, Chester and Teresa Ostrowski, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Wallace, who passed away on April 23, 2013; her brothers, Raymond G. Ostrowski, Leon C. Ostrowski, and infant Chester Ostrowski Jr.; and her niece, Cathy Ostrowski.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Robert E. Wallace, Juliet, Montana; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Ostrowski, Hanover Township; Dolores Ostrowski, Mountaintop; and Jean Wallace Norton, Hudson, Florida; her nieces, Donna Draina, Molly Buczynski, and Jane Brennan; her nephews, Leon Ostrowski Jr., and Raymond Ostrowski Jr.; her lifelong friend, Rosalie Evans Klosko, Bear Creek; her caregiver, Linda Kocher; and her dear neighbor, Lorraine Searfoss.
The family wishes to extend their sincerest gratitude to Dr. Charles Manganiello and Dr. David Greenwald for the outstanding care they bestowed upon Bonnie over the years.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 9:30 AM, from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be offered at the conclusion of the funeral Mass.
Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
Family and Friends are invited to Bonnie’s viewing which will be held on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM, at the funeral home.
