Bonita M. “Bonnie” Glahn, 74, a resident of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, October 30, 2024, at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Her loving husband is Sheldon E. Glahn. Together, Sheldon and Bonnie celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on June 11th.
Born on September 20, 1950, in Hanover Township, Bonnie was one of three children born to the late James and Helen (Smith) Stinson.
Bonnie was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1969, and Luzerne County Community College, where she received her associates degree in medical transcription.
A devoted homemaker most of her life, Bonnie was employed for a short time as a medical secretary for the former Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston.
Bonnie enjoyed many things in life, doing ceramics and sewing; attending events with the Red Hat Society; watching the Packers and Giants; all things “Winnie the Pooh”; and being the proverbial “family secretary” due to her uncanny gift of ensuring her loved ones were always “in the loop.”
Above all, Bonnie’s greatest love in life was for her family. She treasured every moment she shared with her loved ones, most especially her grandsons who were the center of her world. Her beautiful legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, James and Helen Stinson, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, John Stinson.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Sheldon, and their two children, Bryan Glahn and his wife, Jennifer, Dallas; and April Eckert and her husband, Mark, Monroe Township; two grandchildren, Chase and Connor Glahn; her brother, James Stinson, Edwardsville; as well as her nieces and nephews.
