Betty Jean Klemchefski, 86, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, June 15, 2017, at ManorCare Health and Rehabilitation Center, Kingston, where she was a guest for the past three years.
Born on April 11, 1931, in Terra Alta, West Virginia, Betty was the daughter of the late James and Allie (Rhodes) Wable.
Prior to moving to Plymouth in 1973, Betty was employed by the Blind Association in Harrisburg for many years.
Betty was a member of Grace Communion Church for 56 years. She was also a member of the Blind Association and the Plymouth Women’s Club.
Some of her greatest enjoyments were playing bingo, bowling, and eating ice cream.
Betty will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laugh.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husbands, Bernard Catlin and Steven Klemchefski; her daughter, Sandra Crone; and her five sisters and three brothers.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Cathy Siracuse and Debra Havellana, both of Swoyersville; her six grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews.
A Private Family Service will be held. There will be no public calling hours.
