Born on July 29, 1942, in Wilkes-Barre, Bernadine was one of five children and the beloved oldest daughter of the late Peter Burry Sr. and Helen Kozerski Burry.
Raised in Wyoming, Bernadine was a graduate of the former Wyoming Memorial High School, Class of 1960, where she was the proud recipient of the Betty Crocker Award.
