Audrey Davis Emmert, 75, a resident of Forty Fort, passed into eternal life on Wednesday morning, March 05, 2025, at River View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born on September 25, 1949, in Kingston, Audrey was one of thirteen children born to the late Arthur D. Davis and Mary Rita Chervenitski Davis.
Raised in Kingston, Audrey was a graduate of the former Kingston High School, Class of 1967.
Prior to her retirement, Audrey was employed by Metz Culinary Management, Inc., Dallas, working as a cafeteria worker for the Wyoming Seminary, at both the Upper School in Kingston and the Lower School in Forty Fort – every day she worked, she looked forward to seeing the wonderful “kiddos,” as she referred to the students, at both schools. She also worked for several years as a waitress at the former Konefals Restaurant, Edwardsville.
Throughout her life, Audrey possessed strong faith in her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She also had great love of music, no matter the genre, and she cherished the many beach vacations she shared with her family as well as the trip to Jamaica she went on with her sister, Rita.
The love and devotion that Audrey had for her children and grandchildren will be her greatest legacy. She made certain their former home on Oak Street in Forty Fort was immaculately clean and that her flower gardens were in pristine shape. Always involved in all her children’s activities as they were growing up, Audrey instilled them with good morals and respect for everyone as she was a “right is right, wrong is wrong” kind of person. Blessed to share a very special bond with each of her loved ones, Audrey shared a beautiful bond with her sister, Rita, who was her best friend, as well as her niece, Michelle.
Although Audrey’s passing leaves a tremendous void, there is joy in knowing she is free of all her earthly sufferings, reunited in Heaven with her beloved sons, Jaime and Christopher, and all her loved ones who were patiently awaiting her arrival there.
In addition to her parents, Arthur and Mary Rita Davis, Audrey was preceded in death by her former husband and dear friend, William E. Emmert, who passed away on March 26, 2014; her sons, Jaime Emmert, who passed away on September 13, 2010; and Christopher Emmert, who passed away on March 12, 2015; her brothers, Arthur, Harry, Warren, Richard, Jimmy, Ned, Daniel, Barry, and Thomas Davis; and her sister, Jonelle Hadvance.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jill Emmert and her life partner, Shane Taylor, Forty Fort; Shawn Emmert, Exeter; and William Emmert and his wife, Angela, Nanticoke; her grandchildren, Alyssa Emmert, Sadie Taylor, Billy Emmert, Julia Emmert and Claire Emmert; her brother, Andrew Davis, Shavertown; her sister, Rita Galenty and her husband, Stan, West Wyoming; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Audrey’s Funeral Service which will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Pastor Don Strope, officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hanover Township.
