Arthur “Artie” Pabst, 67, a resident of Luzerne, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, September 01, 2015, at his home, comforted by his loving wife, Gail, and his faithful dog, Chase.
His devoted wife is Gail P. (Dieterle) Pabst. Together, Artie and Gail celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary on April 16th.
Born on September 09, 1947, in Newark, New Jersey, Arthur was the only son of the late Arthur R. Pabst.
Raised in New Jersey, Artie was a graduate of New Providence High School, New Providence, New Jersey.
A tractor trailer driver by profession, while Artie lived in New Jersey, he was employed by Storewide Delivery, Secaucus, New Jersey. When Artie and Gail moved to Pennsylvania, he became employed by Roadway Express, Tannersville, eventually retiring from there.
Artie was a faithful member of Cross Valley Assembly of God, Forty Fort.
A man of many enjoyments, Artie especially enjoyed bodybuilding, fishing, woodworking and camping with his family. His greatest enjoyment by far was spending time with his wife, children, and most especially, his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Artie will forever be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend. Although his presence will be greatly missed, there is much joy in knowing he is at peace with his Lord, free from all his suffering.
In addition to his wife, Gail, Artie is survived by his children, Shane Pabst and his wife, Christine, Kingston; Keith Pabst, Taylor; and Dawn Kolbicka and her husband, Todd, Ashley; his six grandchildren, Madelyn and Sophia Pabst; Sydney Pabst; Kylee, Todd Jr., and Benjamin Kolbicka.
The Family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses from Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the compassionate care they bestowed upon Artie during his time of need.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Artie’s Funeral Service which will be celebrated on Saturday, September 05, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with Pastor Scott Gray of Cross Valley Assembly of God, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Friday, September 04, 2015, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and again on Saturday morning, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, at the funeral home.
