Anna A. Novroski, 95, a former resident of McHale Street, Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, November 02, 2014, at Kingston Health Care Center, Kingston, where she had been a guest for the past 5 years.Her beloved husband was the late Henry C. Novroski, former Mayor of Swoyersville, who passed away on April 27, 2008. Together, Henry and Anna shared 65 beautiful years of marriage.Born on October 07, 1919, in East Mauch Chunk, now known as Jim Thorpe, Anna was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Troyanovich) Gulla.Anna was a devoted homemaker most of her life, tending to the daily needs of her home and family. Throughout the 1940’s and 1950’s, she worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry, along with many members of her family, and friends.A faithful Catholic, Anna was a longtime member of the former Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville. Active within her church, Anna was a member of the parish’s Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and its Altar and Rosary Society. For many years, she enjoyed quilting and conversing with a group of devoted quilters from her parish.Following the consolidation of her church, Anna became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.Anna was member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Andrew Lawrence Post 644, Swoyersville, and the Swoyersville Senior Citizens.Family was the center of Anna’s life and she treasured every moment she had with her loved ones. She will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend.In addition to her parents, John and Anna Gulla, and her husband, Henry, Anna was preceded in death by an infant son; her granddaughter, Cheryl Matinas; her brothers, Stephen Yonik; John, Joseph, Andrew and George Gulla; her sisters, Theresa Gulla, Elizabeth “Betty” Gavlick and Mary Brutko.Anna is survived by her children Carol Matinas and her husband, Thomas, Swoyersville; Jeannie Jagozinski and her husband, John, Swoyersville; Dr. Henry C. Novroski, D.O. and his wife, Kim-Rae, Shavertown; her Grandchildren, Kristin Connolly, Tiffany Pizzano, T.J. Matinas, Alyssa Cuchanski, Eric C. Novroski, and Jonathan Jagozinski; her Great-Grandchildren, Zachary and Kaitlyn Connolly; Brianna Pizzano; Lindsay, J.R. and Jack Matinas; her brother, Thomas Gulla, Swoyersville; her sisters, Veronica Novroski and Helen Gaydos, both of Swoyersville; her many nieces and nephews.The Family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of both Kingston Health Care Center, and Traditional Home Health and Hospice, for the gentle and compassionate care they bestowed upon Anna during her time of need.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Thursday, November 06, 2014, at 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Richard J.
