I echo the words that the other gentleman left about Al. We delivered Meals on Wheels to Al on Tuesdays. He was always very pleasant and appreciative. We will miss Al. He was a good man. Our condolences to his family. May Al rest in peace. -Nick, Larry, and Beatrice

I had the pleasure of delivering Mels on Wheels to Al in his Luzerne high-rise for the past several years. I deliver on Mondays, which is "pay day" so I got the chance to chat with him for a few minutes each day. I don't know why, but I have a soft spot in my heart for Al. He would always be sitting on his sofa when I came in. He was difficult for me to understand initially because of his lack of teeth, but eventually we were able to carry on a conversation - usually led by me. My wife, Denise (who recently won a County Council seat) was with me one day and got the chance to meet Al before the election. HE was glad to hear that she had won a seat and asked me to let her know that. Al was ready to pass to the next world and told me that more than once. I hope he reunites with loved ones. I will miss my Monday visits with your Al!
