Albert Hritzak, 88, a resident of Kingston, passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, February 16, 2015, at his home.He is finally reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 10 years, the late Marie (Eustice) Hritzak, who passed away on May 17, 1967.Born on December 27, 1926, in Swoyersville, Albert was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Ladowski) Hritzak.Raised in Swoyersville, Albert was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1944.A United States Army Veteran, Albert honorably served his country for nearly five years during both World War II and the Korean War. During World War II, Albert served as a Corporal with Company M, 20th Infantry Division, and was decorated with the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, the Army Occupational Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. During the Korean War, he served as a Sergeant, and was decorated with the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars, and the United Nations Service Medal.Prior to his retirement, Albert was employed for 31 years by the former Weiss Development Company, Edwardsville.A faithful Catholic, Albert was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Kingston.Albert was a kind gentleman who liked making others smile. Some of his enjoyments were attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, going on his weekly lunch dates with his daughters, and, in his earlier years, fishing.Although his presence will be deeply missed, he will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.In addition to his parents, Charles and Anna Hritzak, and his wife, Marie, Albert was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Michael, Charles and Stephen Hritzak; and his sisters, Helen Syjud and Anna Sherin.Albert is survived by his children, William Hritzak and his wife, Deborah, Forty Fort; Richard Hritzak, Exeter Township; Barbara Ann Watlock and her husband, Robert, Plains Township; and Caroline Gross and her husband, William, Forty Fort; his eight grandchildren, Rob (Karyn) Watlock, and Kristen Watlock; Danielle and Brian Hritzak; Sara, Amanda, and Alyssa Gross; and Alexandra Hritzak; his two great-grandchildren, Drew and Brynn Watlock; his many nieces, nephews and friends.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday, February 20, 2015, at 9:30 AM in Saint Ignatius Loyola Church, 339 North Maple Avenue, Kingston.Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hanover Township.At Albert’s request, the viewing will be private for his immediate family members.Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.For additional information or to send the Albert’s family an online message of condolence, you may visit the funeral home web-site www.wroblewskifuneralhome.com.Memorial Contributions may be made in Albert’s memory to either the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
