Ahmad Armaghan, a proud father, husband, and friend to many, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023, at the age of 75. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Joanne, in the next life.
Born in Ahwaz, Iran, to Ali Armaghan and Sareh Rahnama, Ahmad was one of twelve children. He carried the spirit of his homeland with him throughout his life, fostering a deep love for Iranian culture, food, and music. In 1976, Ahmad immigrated to the United States and embraced his new life as an American citizen, finding a sense of belonging in his adopted homeland.
Ahmad pursued higher education at The University of Kentucky, where he earned a Master’s degree in Public Health. His passion for the sciences led him to a distinguished career spanning over 30 years with the Wyoming Valley Health Care System, where he served as a Senior Medical Technologist. Ahmad found joy in his work, forming close bonds with his colleagues who became cherished friends.
In addition to his wife, Joanne, Ahmad was predeceased by his mother and father; his brother Mahmoud; and his sister, Nasrin.
He is survived by his children, Reza Armaghan and his wife, Rebecca Armaghan, of King of Prussia, PA, and Sarah Armaghan and her husband, Hojjat Ghaderi, and their son, Benjamin, of Kinnelon, NJ. He is also survived by his siblings, Ferial, Mina, Fakhri, Sedigheh, Iman, Forough, Forouzon, Sakineh, and Shaheen; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ahmad’s family was a source of pride and joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Ahmad was known for his infectious smile and vivacious spirit, earning him the reputation of being the life of the party. His warm demeanor endeared him to an extensive network of friends and family across the globe. Ahmad enjoyed staying connected with loved ones through meaningful conversations and cherished visits.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ahmad’s viewing which will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 10:30 AM until Noon at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort. A funeral service will commence at Noon, and, immediately following the service, Ahmad will be laid to rest in Saint Stephen’s Cemetery, Lehman Township.
