Agnes Stavish, 78, a lifelong resident of West Wyoming, passed away early Monday morning, October 20, 2014, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.Her beloved husband was the late Raymond J. Stavish, who passed away on June 15, 2012. Together, Raymond and Agnes shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.Born on December 09, 1935, in West Wyoming, Agnes was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Michaels) Yurcho.Agnes was a graduate of the former West Wyoming High School, Class of 1953.Prior to her retirement, Agnes was employed by the Wyoming Area School District. In her earlier years, she was employed in the local garment industry.A faithful Catholic, Agnes was a member of Saint Monica’s Roman Catholic Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming.Agnes had many enjoyments in life, especially, playing bingo and going to the Mohegan Sun and the casinos of Atlantic City.By far, Agnes’ greatest enjoyment in life was being surrounded by her loved ones. Her grandchildren, Gary Jr. and Elise, were the light of her life and they both held a special place in her heart.In addition to her parents, Andrew and Mary Yurcho, and her husband, Raymond, Agnes was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary, Helen, Anna, Elizabeth, Margaret, Dora and Johanna.Agnes is survived by her son, Gary Stavish and his wife, Michelle, West Wyoming; her daughter, Deborah Roccograndi and her husband, Thomas, Kingston; her grandchildren, Gary Stavish Jr. and Elise Stavish; her brother, Andrew Yurcho, California; her sisters, Rose Yurcho, West Wyoming; and Theresa Monteforte, Pittston; her numerous nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Thursday, October 23, 2014, at 10:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Saint Monica’s Roman Catholic Parish, 363 West 8th Street, West Wyoming, with the Reverend Leo J.
