Agnes A. Rigle, 82, a resident of Forty Fort, passed into eternal rest on Friday afternoon, January 02, 2015, at the Post Acute Hospital at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.Her loving husband is Irving T. “Irv” Rigle. Together, Agnes and Irv celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on September 19, 2014.Born on March 23, 1932, in Wyoming, Agnes was one of six children born to the late Alfonso and Rose (Piazza) Leone.Raised in Wyoming, Agnes was a graduate of the former Wyoming High School, Class of 1950.Prior to her retirement, Agnes was employed by Gertrude Hawk Chocolates, at their location in the Wyoming Valley Mall, Wilkes-Barre. In her earlier years, she was employed by the former Scranton Spring Brook Water Company, Pittston, and also by the former Bergman’s Department Store, Edwardsville.A woman of faith, Agnes was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.Agnes enjoyed the simple things in life, such as cooking and baking, Sunday dinners with her family, and entertaining her loved ones during the holidays.Above all, Agnes’ greatest love in life was for her family, especially her three grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Although her presence will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.The Rigle Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the nurses, therapists, nurse’s aides and staff of the Brain Injury Unit at John Heinz Rehabilitation Center, Wilkes-Barre, for the dignified and compassionate care they bestowed upon Agnes during her time of need. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. David Kasper for his excellent care.In addition to her parents, Alfonso and Rose Leone, Agnes was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Leone; and her sisters, Josephine Saporito and Joanne Leone.In addition to her husband, Irv, Agnes is survived by her children, Mark J. Rigle, Swoyersville; and Donna Bartorillo and her husband, John, Dallas; her grandchildren, Mark B. Rigle and his wife, Katelyn, Pottstown; Julian Bartorillo, Dallas; and Rebecca Rigle, Swoyersville; her sisters, Beatrice Karcutskie, West Wyoming; and Roseanne Olechna, Pittston; her many nieces and nephews.Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, January 07, 2015, 9:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J.
