Walter C. Walski, 85, formerly of Birch Drive, Swoyersville, and most recently of Wyoming, passed into eternal life unexpectedly early Christmas morning, December 25, 2024, in the comfort of his home.
His beloved wife was the late Bonnie L. Brohawn Walski, who passed away on September 21, 2016. Walter and Bonnie were blessed to share 53 years of marriage.
Born on September 20, 1939, in Wilkes-Barre, Walter was one of five children born to the late Chester E. Walski and Mary M. Yamrus Walski.
Raised in Swoyersville, Walter was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1957.
Walter honorably served his country with the United States Navy.
Prior to his retirement, Walter was employed as a quality assurance inspector for RCA, and was also employed in the same capacity for the Northrop Grumann Corporation for some time.
Walter was a man of faith and was a member of Cross Creek Community Church, Trucksville.
A man of many enjoyments, Walter especially enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Baltimore Orioles, play. Above all, his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Chester and Mary, and his wife, Bonnie, Walter was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lynn Krushinski, who passed away on May 09, 2003; and his grandsons, Jonathan Walski and Jordan Walski.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, David Walski and his wife, Ju, Kennesaw, Georgia; his son-in-law, James Krushinski, Edwardsville; his grandchildren, Colleen Walski, Jared Walski, Kyle Krushinski, and Eric Krushinski; his brothers, Fred Walski and his wife, Phyllis, Trucksville; and David Walski and his wife, Stephanie, Shavertown; his sisters, Connie Swanson, West Chester; and Mary Lou Montella and her husband, Francis, Old Forge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service was celebrated by the Reverend Bryan Krauss, pastor of Cross Creek Community Church, Trucksville.
Interment followed in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek, where Walter was laid to rest beside his beloved wife.
The Walski Family entrusted Walter’s funeral arrangements to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
