Rose M. Yurcho, 85, a lifelong resident of West Wyoming, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 02, 2018, at her home.
Born on June 29, 1932, in West Wyoming, Rose was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Michaels) Yurcho.
Rose was a graduate of the former West Wyoming High School.
Prior to her retirement, Rose was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry.
A devout Catholic, Rose was a member of Saint Monica’s Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming, where she was a former CCD instructor, a past member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, and, as a young woman, served as the President of the Sodality.
In addition to her parents, Andrew and Mary Yurcho, Rose was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Yakupcin, Helen Lukesh, Anna Kobolarcik, Elizabeth Stultz, Margaret Nerozzi, Dorothy “Dora” Kraynak, Johanna Batory, and Agnes Stavish.
Rose is survived by her sister, Theresa (Fred) Monteforte, Pittston; her brother, Andrew Yurcho, California; and generations of loving nieces and nephews. She especially shared a close bond with her nephew, Gary (Michelle) Stavish Sr.; her niece, Deborah (Thomas) Roccograndi; and her great-nephew and great-niece, Gary Stavish Jr. and Elise Stavish.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday, May 07, 2018, at 10:00 AM in Saint Monica’s Parish, 363 West 8th Street, West Wyoming, with the Reverend Peter Tomczak, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
Family and Friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of the Funeral Mass.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
