Robert Edward Krull, 74, a resident of Swoyersville, passed into eternal life on Saturday evening, November 21, 2020, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, following a brief illness.
His loving wife is Carol J. (Kozloski) Krull. Together, Robert and Carol celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on September 21st.
Born on February 03, 1946, in Kingston, Robert was one of four children born to the late Edward A. “Bill” Krull and Frances (Kozlowski) Krull.
Raised in Swoyersville, Robert was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1963.
A United States Army veteran, Robert honorably served his country during the beginning of the Vietnam Era.
Prior to his retirement in 2009, Robert was employed for over 40 years as an electronics technician and later working in the technical library of Tobyhanna Army Depot.
A faithful Catholic, Robert was a lifelong member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, Swoyersville, later Holy Name/Saint Mary’s Parish Community. Following the closing of his church, he became a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and the trips he took to Canada. He also enjoyed the many family vacations he shared with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Family was the cornerstone of Robert’s life and he cherished every moment he shared with his loved ones. He will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend.
In addition to his wife, Carol, Robert is survived by his two children, Robert E. Krull Jr. and his wife, Suzanne, Wilmington, Massachusetts; and Kimberly Werner and her husband, Christopher, Boiling Springs; his four grandchildren, Alexandra and Aidan Werner; and Chloe and Evan Krull; his brother, Raymond Krull and his wife, JoAnn, Three Mile Bay, New York; his sisters, Rose Anna Dvornicky and her husband, Ray, Swoyersville; and Janet Gazdick and her husband, Larry, Nesquehoning; as well as his nieces, nephews, and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 10:00 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM in Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett Street, Luzerne, with the Reverend Jarrod Waugh, C.S.C., his Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville, where Military Honors will be accorded by the United States Army.
Family and Friends are invited to attend Roberts’s viewing which will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
In keeping with Federal, State, and Diocesan guidelines, those attending the viewing and/or funeral service are required to wear a facial covering and observe social distancing.
Due to the current pandemic, the family will not be having a luncheon following the funeral services. Once restrictions are lifted, the family will host a celebration of life in honor of Robert.
