Raymond W. Chimock, 79, a resident of Swoyersville, passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, November 28, 2013, at the Kingston Health Care Center, Kingston, where he was a guest for the past week.
His loving wife is Rosemary (Barnoski) Chimock. Together, Raymond and Rosemary shared 44 years of marriage.
Born on September 19, 1934, in Swoyersville, Raymond was the son of the late Barnislav and Veronica (Shonoski) Chimock.
Raised in Swoyersville, Raymond was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School, Class of 1952.
Prior to his retirement, Raymond was employed by Asplundh Construction.
Raymond was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville. Additionally, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, the Paradise Social Club and the Rivergang Hunting Club.
In addition to his parents, Barnislav and Veronica Chimock, Raymond was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Bernard, Walter, Alex and Stanley Chimock; his sisters, Elizabeth Chimock and Valentina Stefanoski.
In addition to his wife, Rosemary, Raymond is survived by his son, Raymond Chimock and his wife Kathleen, of Swoyersville; his daughter, Renee Grove and her husband Brian, of Tunkhannock; his five grandchildren, Anna and Jack Grove; Raymond J. Chimock, Jr.; Erin and Daniel Gibbons; his brother, Daniel Chimock, of Dallas; his brother-in-law, Joseph Barnoski and his wife Karen, of Alexandria, Virginia; his several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 02, 2013, at 10:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, his Pastor, officiating.
Family and Friends are invited to call on Monday morning, December 02 2013, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
