Marilyn Perdikis, 84, a resident of Edwardsville, and formerly of Brown Street, Swoyersville, passed into eternal life unexpectedly on Saturday evening, October 23, 2021, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Her husband was the late Sergeant Major Peter John Perdikis, U.S. Army Reserves, Retired, who passed away on September 18, 2015. Together, Peter and Marilyn were blessed to share 58 years of marriage.
Born on January 27, 1937, in Edwardsville, Marilyn was one of two daughters born to the late Donald and Dorothy (Dixon) Fink.
Raised in Edwardsville, Marilyn was a graduate of the former Edwardsville High School.
Prior to her retirement, Marilyn was employed in the housekeeping department of the former Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston.
Marilyn was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Andrew Lawrence Post 644, Swoyersville.
Marilyn enjoyed simple pleasures of life, and, in her earlier years, she was an avid bowler. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marilyn is now at peace with her Lord, reunited with her husband, children, and all her loved ones who had gone before her.
In addition to her parents, Donald and Dorothy Fink, and her husband, Peter, Marilyn was preceded in death by her children, Peter J. Perdikis, who away passed in 1963; Margaret Perdikis McCourt, who passed away in 2005; and Marilyn Perdikis Fuches, who passed away in 2018.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Donald Perdikis and his wife, Janet, California; Daniel Perdikis and his wife, Carla, Swoyersville; and Judy Perdikis and her husband, Joseph Hilenski, West Wyoming; her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothy Schweizer; and her many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, with the Reverend James Quinn, officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Family and friends are invited to Marilyn’s viewing which will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and again on Saturday morning, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at the funeral home.
