Lucille E. Schultz Peeler, 95, formerly of Swoyersville and most recently a resident of Keystone Villa, Douglassville, passed into eternal life on Sunday afternoon, December 07, 2025, at her residence.
Her beloved husband was the late Joseph J. Peeler, with whom she shared 49 years of love, partnership, and devotion until his passing on August 12, 2000.
Born in Swoyersville on September 14, 1930, Lucille was one of two daughters born to the late Louis Schultz, originally of Swoyersville and Mary Voytovich Schultz, a native of Poland. A lifelong resident of Swoyersville, she built her life, family, and legacy in the community that shaped her.
A woman of deep faith, Lucille was a lifelong Catholic and an active member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, Swoyersville, later Holy Name/Saint Mary’s Parish Community. Her faith guided her through every chapter of her life and remained a constant source of strength and comfort.
Lucille was an avid and talented seamstress, known for her careful hands and eye for detail. She found joy in creating, repairing, and giving to others through her craft. She also enjoyed playing rummy, keeping a tidy home, and hosting family during the holidays.
In addition to her parents, Louis and Mary Schultz, and her husband, Joseph, Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Deborah Beha, who passed away on September 09, 2020; as well as her older sister, Delores (Schultz) Spinella of New Jersey. Though these losses were profound, their memories remained forever present in her heart.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Peeler and his wife, Brenda, Stowe; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her life.
Lucille’s legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and in the generations who carry her spirit forward.
A Blessing Service will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Brook Street, Swoyersville, followed by burial beside her beloved husband.
