Louise M. Billett, 94, a resident of Forty Fort, passed quietly into eternal life on Sunday morning, May 14, 2023, at her home.
Her beloved husband was the late Robert J. Billett, who passed away on June 19, 2014. Bob and Louise were blessed to have shared 48 beautiful years of marriage.
Born on September 02, 1928, in West Wyoming, Louise was one of two children born to the late George Gavlick and Mary Krull Gavlick.
Raised in Swoyersville, Louise was a graduate of the former Swoyersville High School.
Prior to her retirement, Louise was employed by the Hoyt Library, Kingston. In her earlier years, she was employed in the credit department of the former Boston Store, Wilkes-Barre.
A woman of strong faith, Louise was a lifelong member of the former Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, Swoyersville. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Swoyersville.
In addition to her parents, George and Mary Gavlick, and her husband, Robert Billett, Louise was preceded in death by her only brother, Walter “Gabe” Gavlick, who passed away on June 05, 2018.
Louise is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Gavlick, Swoyersville; her nephews, Ronald Gavlick and his wife, Marie, Hazleton; and Donald Gavlick and his wife, Mary Jo, Swoyersville; her great-nieces, Bethany Gavlick, Hazleton; and Melanie Pierontoni and her husband, Damian, Breinigsville; her great-nephew, David Gavlick and his fiancée, Rebekah Walton, Swoyersville; and her dear neighbors, Michael and Betsy Monaghan and their family; and Russell and Carrie Singer and their family.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Louise’s Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Father Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton section of Kingston Township.
In keeping with Louise’s wishes, the viewing will be private for her family members.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
