Dear Deacon George, You probably don't recognize my name, but would know my face from the times I've gone to daily Mass. I wanted to tell you how sorry I was to hear of your wife Kathy's passing. Of course, our hope for her is bright but you're grief must be very deep and I've been praying for you. Our heavenly Father told St. Catherine of Siena that those who die in Him "know a special kind of sharing with those they loved most closely with a special love in the world, through which they grew in grace and virtue. They helped each other proclaim the glory and praise of my name . . . . So now in everlasting life they have not lost that love; . . . in whatever bond of love they finsih their lives with, that bond is theirs forever and last eternally . . . . Because they seek my honor they desire your salvation [while you are still on earth], and so they are constantly praying to me for you." May the Lord comfort you with His Presence and give you His strength. Blessings.
