June Ann Kulka Sims, 76, a resident of Edwardsville, entered into eternal life on Friday afternoon, April 11, 2025, at Maple Ridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kingston, following a brief illness.
Her beloved husband of 13 years was the late Francis Sims who passed away on December 20, 2007.
Born on September 28, 1948, in Kingston, June was the only daughter born to the late Stephen A. Kulka and Eva Sedor Kulka.
Raised in Edwardsville, June was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1968.
June worked for many years in the local garment industry, holding membership with the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. In her later years, she found joy in working as a school crossing guard.
A woman of faith, June was a lifelong member of the former Saint Mary the Annunciation Church, Kingston and, following its closure, was a member of Saint Ignatius Loyola Church, Kingston.
Left to cherish June’s memory are her cousins, caregiver, and several friends.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, followed by burial in Saint Mary the Annunciation Cemetery, Pringle, where she will be laid to rest near her beloved parents.
