Jennie M. Romanosky, 85, a resident of Kingston, entered into eternal life on Friday afternoon, February 15, 2013, at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Her beloved husband was the late Stanley J. Romanosky, Sr., who passed away in August of 1979. Stanley and Jennie were united in marriage on July 08, 1950 and together shared 29 beautiful years of marriage,
Born on March 01, 1927 in the Buttonwood section of Hanover Township, Jennie was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kalaman) Mendygral.
Jennie was raised in the Buttonwood section of Hanover Township, attending Hanover Area High School. Following her marriage to Stanley, Jennie relocated to Kingston where she resided for over 60 years.
A homemaker most of her life, Jennie was devoted to caring for her loving son, Stanley J. Romanosky, Jr.
A faithful Catholic, Jennie was a longtime member of the former Holy Name/Saint Mary’s Parish Community, Swoyersville. Following the consolidation of her parish this past June, Jennie became a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Parish, Swoyersville.
Loving and nurturing, Jennie was always ready and willing to help those in need. She had a great love for children, especially for her great-nieces and great-nephews.
One of Jennie’s favorite pastimes was listening to music, especially the polka’s by Lawrence Welk and the songs by Daniel O’Donnell.
Family was truly the center of Jennie’s life and she treasured each moment she had with her loved ones. She will forever be remembered as a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, John and Mary Mendygral, and her husband, Stanley J. Romanosky, Sr., Jennie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Stanley J. Romanosky, Jr., who passed away on March 25, 2011; her brother, John Mendygral; her sisters, Josephine Tiringer; Catherine Charnezky and Sophie Wolf.
Jennie is survived by her sister, Frances Hornyak, of New Egypt, New Jersey; her numerous nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great- nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral which will be conducted on Monday, February 18, 2013, at 10:30 AM from the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes Street, Swoyersville, with the Reverend Joseph J. Pisaneschi, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment with the Rite of Committal will follow in Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
