Elizabeth R. Kubasti, 90, a resident of Wyoming and formerly of Dallas, passed into eternal life early Saturday morning, October 25, 2025, at Allied Services Hospice Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Her beloved husband of nearly 64 years was the late Edward S. Kubasti who passed away on June 15, 2025.
Born on July 31, 1935, in the Mount Zion section of Wyoming, Elizabeth was one of six children born to the late Richard Wilbur DeRemer and Ruth Alling DeRemer.
A devoted homemaker for many years, Elizabeth also worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry and was skilled at fashioning dresses.
A woman of faith, Elizabeth and her husband were longtime members of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas.
Elizabeth and Edward shared a love for traveling, and her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her loved ones, especially her beloved grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Richard and Ruth DeRemer, and her husband, Edward, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Geffert, who passed away on January 06, 2009; her brother, Richard DeRemer; and her sisters, Marion DeRemer and Eleanor Mae Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, David Kubasti, Pittston Township; her grandchildren, Kara, Andrew, Justin, Chad, Kevin, and Kristen; her great-grandson, Bryce; her brothers, Ronald DeRemer, Hanover Township, and Robert DeRemer, Swoyersville; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Elizabeth’s funeral service which will be celebrated on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, 4115 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with the Reverend William Stritzinger, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of the Cross section of Chapel Lawn Memorial Park.
In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, there will be no public viewing.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
