OUR STAFF

Over 60 years of caring.

Families who trust us to plan a tribute for their loved one are comforted by a funeral home that is owned and operated by your neighbors, and by a staff that is caring, compassionate, and personally involved in every aspect of the service.

OUR LEGACY

The legacy of our funeral home’s service can be traced back through three generations.

John J. Baloga, Jr., Founder

John J. Baloga, Jr., founded the John J. Baloga Funeral Home at our present location in the historic borough of Forty Fort, in 1948. John was the son of the late John J. Baloga, Sr. and Mary (Pribula) Baloga, both prominent funeral directors in our neighboring city of Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Baloga, along with his wife, the former Laura Richards, operated our funeral home until John’s death in 1980.

Joseph L. and Normajean Wroblewski

Mr. and Mrs. Wroblewski, both natives of Ashley, purchased our funeral home from Mrs. Laura Baloga shortly after the death of her husband. Mr. Joseph Wroblewski, a first generation funeral director, along with his wife Normajean operated our funeral home for many years as John J. Baloga Funeral Home, but eventually changed the funeral home’s name to the Joseph L. Wroblewski Funeral Home.

Aaron W. Pietryka

Aaron W. Pietryka began the third generation of service to our community after being handpicked by Mr. and Mrs. Wroblewski to continue our funeral home’s legacy. In 2004, the Lackawanna County native and first generation funeral director acquired the funeral home. Today, our funeral home is operated under the name Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc. Aaron, along with his sister Jennifer, proudly continue the legacy of their predecessors by providing the same exceptional, caring and compassionate service their predecessors did.

Through more than 60 years of service to our neighbors and friends, our funeral home has always remained family-owned and operated, community-focused and committed to providing the most exceptional and compassionate service there is.
